We begin worship on Sunday with an 8:00 am service without music. At 10:30 am is a service with choir, hymns and other music. Both services are centered on the Holy Eucharist. Sermons are focused and based on the scripture readings, good theological grounding, with a contemporary message with examples for our everyday lives. Children are welcome at all services.
School chapel services are held weekly during the school year. Additionally, appropriate services are held on special days such as Christmas, Easter, Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, as well as an annual blessing of animals and the Christmas Pageant.
We include music as an integral part of our 10:30am service. St. John’s is fortunate to have a talented musician and teacher, Cambria Van de Vaarst, as our Organist and Choirmaster. The St. John’s Choir is comprised of faithful and dedicated singers who lead us in worship. We also have a newly formed children's choir as well as handbell choir with full 3 octaves of handbells.
